17 - Dahlias and Mangoes

These Dahlias I planted in the yard at Fairbanks Ranch inspired the piece here.  I added mango's which came from the fruit of the month club gifted to our family from the Harry and David company.  They always have the most perfect fruit to paint. My son says, "Mom why do you always put something scary like a knife or a scissors in your paintings?" I never noticed that they were always sharp tools, but  I did use them as a tool to point your eye back into the art.
