I had a lovely rose garden in Thousand Oaks and painted this one of the years I studied with Dottie Knight.  She inspired me to paint gutsy strokes.  She was taught by Joyce Pike.  I knew Joyce's niece who first told me about her aunt. I love her work and often think  of Joyce and how much I enjoy learning her techniques.
